Athletes and cyclists turned out iri- rarge numbers last night fof the • usuai weekly Club nlght bf the Levin Combined Amateur - Athletic and- Cycring Club and keen competition was evident in all events. It Was the last night for the awardmg of points in. the season's competitions. Next Monday night will ^ee the open Horowhenua championsnip meeting take place,, with competitors from all district clubs oakmg part. - The one mile junior cycle for the La Roche Memorial - Cup resulted m O, Connolly, R. Ian Mudge ran. nicely to Win the 880 yards open. and this Otaki lad, who holds three Wellington titles, seems assured of gaining Horowhenua championship nonours on Monday.
