OTAKI, March' 21. At 1.30' p.m, today Police and Air Foree parties, whq are making their way towards the wreck of the Ventura, were reported to be y/ithin 200 yards qf their objective, The base of operations is at the Otaki Police Station, where Sergeant W. S. Hughes is in charge. Walkie-talkie equipment is being used- for communication between the search parties and the base. ° Five members of the pqlice are participatiiig and there is another, party of five Air Fqrce personnel under the pommand of Wing Commander Ellis, of Ohakea. The wreck is located to the right qf the headwaters of the Otaki, waterworks.
