The St, Andrew's Levin braneh of the Presbyterian Women's Missionary Union held its monthly! meeting at the St. Andrew's Hall, Waitarere. The Levin members were welcomed at the hall by a number of Waitarere ladies. The speaker was Mrs. Alan C. Whitelaw, reeently returned to New

Zealand after threo years in Scotland and Europe. Mrs. Whitelaw was present in Geneva when the Pan-Presbyterian Alliance cohference was being held, and later in Amsterdam was an alternate dplegate- for New Zealand at the eonference pf the World Cpipicjl of Churches. In a very graphic and colourful account, Mrs. Whitelaw brought out the main features of the Amsterdam conference. A vote of thanks and appreeiation was moved byl Mrs. C. Kerr. .
