Striking Miners Ordered To Return To Work
Received Wednesday, 10.45 p.m. ' SYDNEY, March 16. •The Federal Council of the. Amalgamated -Engineef ing Union decided today to order • the mine engineers on strike in the .northern coalfields to resume work on Friday morning. Aggregate meetings of ininers will be held tomorrow when a direction to return to wOrk will be given. The strike, which has spread to 25 mines, cut otf supplies of gas eoal to New .South Wales, Vietoria and South Australia.
