Eeceived Tuesday, 8.10 p.m. LONDON, March 15. fOn paper Israel is tiny both in size and population, but there is no doubt that she is going to make a disproportionate noise in the world," says the Daily Mail's .special correspondent in Tel Aviv. " You eannot live here even for a few days witfiont realising that Israel is bursting with energy, enthusiasm and ambition. She is developing a raging superiority complex. She thinks of herself as the future hub of the Middle East. She believes she is capable of almost unlimited mifacles, The Arab nations may well wonder whether Israel is going to be a eomfortable neighbour." "The object of the Israeli -military move to the Gulf of Akaba is clearly to stake out a claim to the -Negev as a whole," says The \ Times' diplomatic correspondent, who points out that Israel is now for the first time in military oecupation or military control of all the territory awarded her under the United Nations partition scheme. She also occupies large tracts of territory awarded to the Arabs under the same seheme, aiid short of physical intervention from ontside there is no way of getting Israel out of any territory she is not ready to evaeuate voluntarily. "She has aecordingly, " the correspondent adds, "established a strong bargaining position in advanee of any negotiations for the final frontier settlement."
