Procter, who was : a life member of the club, Mrs. J.; 1 Bond and Mr. P. Nepia. ; ;S Past Year's Work i After welcoming the 36 .members 1 and sup.porters present, Mr. Shcrt, read the annual report, which! was( ] as follows: — '"The club fielded two, 1 teams, one sbnior and one junior, ln^ ] the H arowhenua competitions. The1 1 seniors performed 'exceptionallywell throughout the season, being 1 joint winners, with -Hui Mai, of thei's senior competition. Although the- J juniors did not succeed gteatly,, ; neyertheless the players trained ; and played keen-ly. Their turn will; ; come. . : - "The club was well represented, in the rep. teams. The following ; players gained rep. honours fo'r' : Horowhenua:— Seniors; G. Sc'iascia,! G. Milroy, W. Lincoln, W. Winiata, ' H. Winiata, K. McCready, T. Winiata, H. Heremaia, J. Neylon, S. Bartholomew, R. Selby, G. Murphy and B. Hughes. Juniors: A. Royal, B. Marshall and M. Hartley. Gordon Sciascia is to be congratulated on-his selection to play in the New Zea1and Maori fifteen, thus following in the footsteps of his; father and his uncle, b'oth of whom played for the New Zealand Maoris. "Last year was the jubilee year and although "not 'a financial success, the celebra'tions will long be, remembered by all who took part. "The club owes its thanks to the , following for the exeellent services rendered-: Mrs. A. Short and Mrs. Knox for washing jerseys, members of the referees' associatiop, St. John Ambulance Division, delegates. to the rugby union, the ladies and suppopters." General Matters Mr. T. Winiata, Senr., was nominated as vice-president of the Horowhenua Rugby Union, the position which he filled last season. As the special meeting of the rugby union has amended the rmes for representation on the union," only one delegate will now be necessary. Tne club will be represented by either Mr. A. Short , of Mr. J. Bond. General discussion took place on matters pertaining to the jubilee so that finance could be arranged to meet certain liabilities incurred during the celebrations. Various suggestions were made and" others will be discussed at a jubilee executive meeting this week. Members, friends and supporters who were present ,.at the celebrations were invited to rally round and assist. The meeting ciosed with a vote of thanks to the chair.
