Personal Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Cronquest, of Stout Street, have returned home after spending a holiday in ; the Nelson district. Variety Show Tonight Shannon people will have . the opportunity of seeing an excellent fiesh and blood show in the Druids' Hall this evening, when the Town Queen Committee of the memorial carnival will stage its variety show. Among those who will make their appearance on the stage are Miss Nona Kingsbeer, the first candidate for the Miss New Zealand quest, Jim Fiebig, Tubhy Allen, Ngaire Butler, Vincent Balgrave, Bob Ross, Caryl Reid, Colin Thompson, Norrie Denton, Elaine Aird and Cyril Stevens are other popular Palmerston North artists who will entertain.
