Te Horo Bride With Retinue Of Four
A large circle of relati'yesV and friends gathered in St. Margaret s O'hurch, Te Horo, recently, for' the [we'dding of Joan Catherine, 'second daughter of Mr, and Mrs. O. Walker, Te Horo, to Raymond Rodney, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Moffatt, of Otaki Railway, .Oanon H. E. K. Fry was the ofnciating mihister. The bride, who entered . the church escorted by her father, : wore a panniered picture frock of figured satin, with laee yoke and insets on the train outlined with plaited satin. Her long embroidered tulle veil, lent by her cousln, was worn with a tatted hea'ddress. The matron of honour, Mrs. O. Hic'kman, sister of the bride, the bridesmaids,. Misses Joan Moffatt and Margaret Guthrie, and the
flower girl, Anne Walker, were dressed alike in frocks of self patterned white organdie, worn over apricot satin, the skirts of which opened down, the front to show the apricot satin. ''They carried lovely and unusual fans of " tulle and shaded apricot roses, with roses in their hair. The flower girl -carried a crook trimmed with apricot. roses. •Mr. Des. Capewell was best man an-d Mr. John Molfatt groomsman. During the signing of the register Mrs. ' S. Ridge sang "I'll Wklk Beside You." As the bridal party left the church the bride was presented with a noveHy horse shoe by her small cousin, Duncan MacLean. The church had been beautifully decorated by friends of the bride. Mrs. C. Walker in a black suit and Mrs. H. Moffatt in blue, with white accessories, received the guests at a reception in the Te Horo Hall. For travelling the bride wore- a forest green suit, with tan accessories. In the evening a dance was held and it was attended by guests and other friends. • The future home of the popular young- couple will be at Otaki.
