First Day Of N.Z. Athletic Championships

At the' end of tfie first day of the New Zealand amateur atfiletie -cfiampionsfiips today, Auckland leads by 16 points to 12 seored by Wellington, 8 by West Coast (North Island), 7 by Otago and 2 by Canterbury. , ' W. Smitfi (Wellington), won fieats in the 120 and 220 yards fiurdles very easily. . The fieats in the &80 yards provided good raees and interest tomorrow will centre in tfie ineeting of S.
