NAPIER, March 1U. Questioned on the possibility of relief of individual or company taxation, the Minister of Finance (Mr. Nash), speaking to Napier businessmen tonight, said he could make no promises. Taxation in New Zealand compared more than favourably with that of Australia and other eountries, he said. When taxation was eonsidered, thc Minister added, all faetors had to be taken into account. Among these was the child allowance amounting to 10s a head in New Zealand. In Australia it was 7s 6d for the second child. "What is the possibility of some tax-. ation relief," a questioner asked the Minister. "Listen in on Budget night; you wil find it interesting," replied Mr. Nash.
