Minister Decides Shop Holiday
-WELLINGTON, March 10. All skops in tlie boroughs of Foxton; Levin and Shannon will close on Saturdays as from March 21. This is stated in the Gazette published tonight. The Gazette states that as the local authorities of the varions districts have failed to decide what working day in the week shall be the statntory elosing day for -shops, th^_ Minister of Labour has exereisedpowers -under t'he Shops and Offiees Act to appoint certain days as elosing days. . . . - Otlrer' deeisions by the Minister are:— Hunterville Town Distriet, Saturday; Dannevirke'* County, Wednesday; Horowheifua' Couiity, Wednesday; Kairanga County, Wednesday; Manawatu Go'uiity, We'dnesday; Oroua County, Wednesday;' Rg.ngitikei County, Wednesday; Woodville'; County, Wednesday; Mangaweka Town Distriet, W ednesday .
