Received Wednesday, 9.25 a.m. CAPETOWN, March 8. England at stumps on the third day of the final test against South Africa at Port Elizabeth has a narrow first innings lead. The loss of three English wickets before lunch gave South Africa a fighting chance of winning the -est, but England's captain, Mann, pulled the game round in his .eam's favour.
