"Capitalists" Among The Unionists

AUCKLAND, March 6. A bitter attack on certain unionists demanding higher wages was made by the Minister of Finance, Mr. 'Nash, in an address to the Auckland Trades Council. "I have never known such an indictment of the Labour movement as has heen heard in the last six [ months," he declared. It was not the hottom dog who was said not to he getting enough, hut those on the higher wage levels were worried because he was getting too near them. "That is most disturbing. There are just as many capitalisticallyminded people among those who want to increase margins as there are in the employing class. Acquisitiveness is not confined to the employers or investors. There is more of it among the higher wage level group of the workers than anywhere else."
