Gam'ng And Licensing Issues To Be Decided Polls will be • taken tomorrow throughput the Dominion on the gaming arid licensing issues. E.ecuors will vote on whether provision should be made for- offi coqrse betting, through the totalisator, by means to be provided by the Ne-^ Zealand Racing Cbnfer= ence and the New Zealand TroW ting Conference. On tne licensing question the issue to be decided is whefher hotels should be open for the sale of liqupr betweep 9 a.m, and 6 p.m., a total of nine hours, as at present, or for a total of nine hours at times to be decided between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. Polling booths will be open from 9 a.m.'to 7 p.m., and employees are entifled to one hour off from work to cast their votes. In Levin Europeans may vote at the Primary School or Cpurthouse: Maori electors will be catered for at the school' only, where a special booth has been arranged for them. Absent voting may be 'done at the Courthouse only. ' • Afc Ohau .both the European an| Maori booths 'will be at the school, while at Manakau -both races will' use facilities provided in the school. - In Otaki voting will be done at the school and Anglican Hall at the beach. The booth for Maori electors is to be at the school. The Te-- Horo School will have ..the facilities for electors in that area. For Maori and European electors in the. Manawatu electorate po'ling booths are being set up as follows: — Levin: Mr. G. F. Milne's residence, The Avenue; Ihakara: Pubiic Hall; Kopu ikaroa:, Public School; Shannon: Public School; Waitarere, St. Andrew's Hall; Poroutawhao: Public School.
