DEATH FOR PRIESTS

Received Sundav, 7 p.m. LONDON, March 5. A Miiitary Court at Lodz sentenred two Roman Catholic priests to death for aiding an " underground band" charged with murdering 55 security police and local Communist Party offieials in the last two years. A third priest was sentenced to eight years. . An underground , leader, Jan Malolepszy, was also sentenced to death. The president of the Court, passing sentences, said the state was not iiglit ing religiou but was determined to stamp out rouctionary c-lergy who used rcligious authority to instigate crimes against Poland.
