AUCKLAND, March 6, The unofficial lawn tennis test inatch betvveen New South Wales and a New Zealand team ended on Saturday as it had begun on Friday, with a splendid victory to New South Wales. In the meantime, however, there had been ten other matches and the vvinning of all 'of these by the New South WaJes team gave it a most decisive victory by ten rubbers to two. It was the last match of the visitors' tour and their record in the serious matches of the tour at Wellington, Lower Hutt, Christchurch and Auckland was unbeaten. Features of Saturday Vplay were the success of the leading New Zealanders, J. E. Robson and R. S. McKenzie, in defeafcing O. W. Sidwell and D. Rocavert in the linal doubles match, opportunities lpst from inexperience by several of the New Zealanders, and the vigorops and skilful play of Sidwell, R. R. McGarthy and J. Matthews in the eingle's watcjies.
