Meeting Of Ratepayers' Association

The monthly meeting . of the Levin Ratepayers' Association was held recently, «when matters pertaining to the -water supply and aecounts were discussed. After .engthy consideration, it was decided. to refer the- question of the water supply to a further meeting pending additional information. A discussion on the grass strips fronting private dwellings resulted m a proposal that a let'ter be sent to the Levin Borough Council connrming previous requests made 'by individual ratepayers, "that the council make an effort to put in order any grass strips where ratepayers are prepared to keep them in order, and that small shrubs be supplied or something of a similar nature to provide a deterrent •against undue violation. Also that the council should seriously consider the provision of tar-sealed entrances to gateways from the roadways in areas where no footpaths are provided."
