Hunter Shield Athletics
The final round of the Hunter Shield athletic and cycling competition was held.on the Shannon Domain last Tuesday evening, when a large gathering witnessed athletic and cycling events of a very high standard: Foxton, Levin and Otaki were represented by large teams of competitors, with the result that eacb event was keenly contested and, owing to the fact that darkness threatened to cut short the concludirig events of the programme, races had necessarily to follow each other in quick succession.
