Received Wednesday, 9.35 a.m. PARIS, March 1. The Security Service, which yesterday arrested two army officers, believes it is on the track of what it describes as a Soviet military spy network eovering not only France, but most of Western Furope. * The French authorities may ask the Western Union Powers — Britain, Belgium, Holland and Luxemburg— and Italy to eo-operate in the drive against military espionage now being conducted in France. Reuter's correspondent reports that the French police have detained three more people for questioning in their check-up on alleged Communist spies. A Government spokesman declared: "It is an extremely serious affair, Police operations are continuing." Hundreds of military and civilian security police took part in a round-the-clock investigation of people suspected of "endangering the external security of the State" by divulging military secrets following the detention yesterday of two active list army officers, and the arrest on Saturday of three Communist journalists and an aircraft designer.
