Members' Day At Waitarere

The February meeting of the Waitarere Women's Institute took oiace recently, the *president, Mrs. Fagan, extending a warm welcome to members and visitors. Invitations to attend birthday parties were received from the Levin and Kimberley institutes. A letter expressing thanks for parcels received was read from the presi-. dent of the institute 's link in E'ngland, At the conclusion of the' usual business, the afternoon took the form of a members' day, Mrs. Thompson being in the chair. Competitions were enjoyed by all, the wipners being ~Mesdames Thompson; Matson , Lumsden and Millar. A wool-winding competition was won by Mesdames Aldrich and Warrington. "The usual monthly competition for the best bloom resulted in Mrs. Weldon gaining first , second and third pTaces. The mystery parcel was won by Mrs. Thompson, A tasty afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdames Coleman and Hood. y-
