DANNEVIRKE, Feb. 25. Sixty-one schools in an area stretching from Hawke's Bay^o the Wairarapa have not reeeived any delivery of milk for children, since the new school year began four weelcs gao. The, area ineludes main centres such as Waipawa, Waipukurau, Dannevirke, Woodville, Pahiatua, Masterton and Carterton, which are usually supplied from Dannevirke. The matter has 'been referred to the health and education authorities, and Mr. K. J. Hotyoake (M.P. for Pahiatua) has appealed direct to the Minister of Health urging an immpdiate restoration of the service. The contraeting company filed an application for an increased transport rate overa year ago, but no linality has been reached. Throughout 1918 it operatpd at a loss and when,the new school year commeneed it xefuscd to continue the deliveries, stated an toffieial of the company.
