To'p quality* two-tooth ewes luade to 4Ss 3d, inferior to liiediuixi changing lxandS at 34s 6d to 35s 3d. Good six-tooth ewes realised to 3Ss 8d and nxixed aged ewes 32s Sd. Two-tooth wethers were exchanged at 35- 3d to 39s and fat and forward older wethers made 37s lOd to 4.0s ld. Best quality Down cross lainbs sold at 33s with others at 27s 3d. Woolly wether laxnbs with size aud cond_itiqn realised 29s 3d to 30s 6d. For better conditioned lines of shorn . wether fanxbs farxners paid to 31s 2d, lightfer making 26s 9d to 27s 6d and inferior peus off hard country 17s to 24s. .Short yarding values ruled in the fat sheep raarket wlien the market slxowed an allround lirmtng tendency. Quality was average but conipetition anxong the butclxers was f'airly lteen. Prime aged ewes reali.ied 30s 7d to 33s lOd with quality Down cross sorts at 38s 4d. .Mediuni conditioned young ewes were (raded at 82s t()d. llfeav.Y wethers in prime order sold at 42s 7d to 43s 4d, others bringiug 38s lOd to 39s 4d aua unall Down ero s wethers 33s ld. Fat .ambs were ltnoeked down at 34s 4d to 35s 7d. ThOre was a keen demand for store •attle of good quality but the liinited yarding of 258 liead restricted somewhat tlxe activities of a fairlv Tui I benelx of buyers. Tlxree-vear A.A. steers iriade to £16 2s 6d with Herefords at £13 11s. Young eows realised to £14 5s [leifers raiiging t'rom £11 4s to £12 15s. There was a olight easing in the beef market and tliis, conxbined with tlxe abSence of any really heavy quality beasts, kept prices on a lower plane than last weelc. Mediuni to heavy bullocks, in a total beef offering of 150 head, made up to £23 18s 6d compared witli the top priee of over the £25 mark for somewhat heavier bullocks at the previous sale. Ohoicfe quality heifei beef made up to £16 8s 6d and eows realised up to £13 18s 6d. Medium to heavy bullocks xnade from £21 18s 6d to £23 Ss 6d and averaged £22 15s. Slightly heavier ox raxxged from £28 18s 6d down to £21 18s (id and averaged £23 3s. Light A.A. bullocks made froni £19 18s 6d to £21 16s 6d. Lighter young steers made £14 ls, £13 lln aud £12 16s. Bplendid Shorthorn cross made from £14 Ss Gd' to £15 6s and A.A. heifers made £13 ls. Gow beef of only average quality made from £13 18s (5d to £13 ls. Other lines of cow beef realised from £12 8s Gd to £13 8s (id with less impressivo quality oilerings at £12 11s down to £11 6s.
