NEW PLYMOUTH, Feb. 21. Seven pupils of the Opunake District High -School got into difficulties simultaneously when bathing at Opunake, today. The alarm siren failed to ae't and a doctor and members of the Opunake Surf Club had to .be summoned by telephone but in the meantime all those in diffiCul'ties were reseued b\ other pupils. One rescuer himselt disappeared from sight wheii a breaket crashed over him but he was later .b rought ashore unconscious by a fellow p'upil who had mauned a b'elt.
