This shows us that Eterhal Life is not to be obtained by keeping the Law of Moses, or outward religious observances. IS THE BIBLE TO BE TAKEN LITERALLY? In Psalm 145: 20 we -rea'd "The Lord preserveth all them that love him; but the wicked he will destroy." Here we have a contrast, righteous "preserved," wicked "destroyed." Thus, God does not "preserve" the wicked, but destroys them. Prov. 13: 13, "Who so despiseth the Word shall be destroyed." Does "destroyed" mean' "preserved for ever"? See also jPsalm 37: 10, 104: 35, Job 20: 5-8. In Malachi 4: 1-3. we- read "the day cometh that shall burn as an oven ... all that do wickedly shall
