Widow's Claim For Damages Of £10,058 Fails ' qp ti t In the Supreme Odurt at Palmerston 1 North on Thursday a jury returned a verdiet in favour of the Crown in the case in whic.h Marcia C. Noaro, a widow, of Opiki, claimed from the Crown the sum of £10,058 15s damages as a result of the death of her husband, Luigi M. Noaro, who was killed when a truek he was driving was struck by the southbound NaP^er*^reihnS^on ex" press on the Makerua level crossing on April 9, 1948. The hearing of the claim lasted fOur days. Mr. Justice Hay presided. Messrs G. E. Rowe and J. A. L. Bennett appeared for the suppliant and Messrs G. I. McGregor and K. A. Burns represented the Crown.
