Renwick, of Kakahi, when her upraiscd umbrella was caught in the piston of a locomotive slovvly liauling a train through Kakahi station. It is thought that she did not liear the loco- 1 motive approacliing. When lier um- I breila was caught by the piston she was thrown to the ground but Ihe train , stopped after she had been dragged about iive vards. >She was placed aboard the train and taken to Taumavunni where she was admitted to hospital.
