Lord Rowallan Pleased With Scouting in N.Z.
^ ^ 4 AUCKLAND, Feb. 16. A favourable impression of Scouting in New Zealand, has been formed by tlie Empire Chiefs Scout, Lord Rowallan, wlio returned to Auckland today after an extensive five weeks' tour of the Dominion. Lord Rowallan , will leave on Saturday for Australia. fIn most-" places in New Zealand, Scouting is first rate, but there are some places whcre there are weak spot," Lord Rowallan said in reviewing what he had seen pf tlie movenient in tlie Dominion. "I think the people are fully aware of that and I think tLat wh'at is necessary will be done to unprove the position. We need some of the young rnen who have come baek from the forces, to help consolidat'e the .position. I have been very much encouraged to lind that a number oi' young fellows from Home who have settled in New Zealand sin'ce the war, have taken out warrants. They are fairly evenly distributed througliout the eountry and it has.been -most encouragLng to see their enthusiasm. *
