Wage Increase of 6d An Hour Wanted
WELLINGTON, Feb. 16. An application to the Uourt of Arbi - tration for a date for tlre hearing of a i-laim for an increase of 6d an hour in the standard rates of wages, is scheduled to be made to the Court tomorrow morning by the Now Zealand Federation or' Labour. Tt is hoped that there wi,U be an early hearing. The national council of the federation, meeting in Wellington today, endorsed the action of the nationa: executive in filing its claim and thus placing itself in the position of applicant party. Other aspects of the wages issue are still under eonsideration. 'j • .
