Situation Still Tense In Northern Ireland
Received Wednesday, 7 p.m. LONDON, Feb. 16. Some Northern Ireland Ministers believe that if anti-parlition agitation is not suspended, the Irish Republican Army may violate the borders, reports Reuter's Belfast correspondent. The tense situation has not been irnproved by Ihe Eire Oovernment 's attack on the elections and the position will anxiouslv be watched between now and April IS when the Repul)lic of treland Aei comes into force. Obervgrs believe that the Prime Minister of Northern ire land, Sir Basil Brooke, nn the strengtli of his sweeping victory at the polJs, will call on the British Oovernment to tcdl Eire that no further purpose will be served iil continuing the attack' on par tition. Politieal cireles are suggesting that Britain, Australia, New Zealand and Canada sliould withhold the ex ehange of citizenship rights until Eire ceases to be "openly hostile" to Ulster.
