Harvey, of Rangiuru Road, is attending . the Fire Brigades' conference in Hawera as the delegate from the Otaki Volunteer Brigade. Mr. and Mrs. E. V. Paganini, residents of Te Rauparaha Street for the past two years, leave this week to take up residence in Waipapa, Bay of Islands. Mushrooms Seen Follbwing the weekend rain, mushrooms have been reported as appearing. They have disappeared too, as several who have sought them . have discovered, - Correspondence School Pupils It is reported that a group of 40 correspondence school pupils will shortly be spending a snort term .at the City Mission Camp, as part »of their education. Visiting Clergyman. Services at the Anglican Church,' Otaki, qn Sunday were taken by the Rev. J. E. Ashley- Jones, of Wellington, during the absence of the Vicar, Canon H. E. K. Fry, who is on holiday in the Sounds. Deuutatian Yisits Minister In response to a request by the Mayor, Mr. C. F. Atmore, a deputation is to be received by the Minister of Justice in Wellington today, when a protest will be lodged against the removal of the civil court from Otaki to Levin. Alterations to Fire Station For many months past the kitchen conveniences at the Otaki Fire Station have been ina'dequate, and the matter of bringing them up to date under existing conditions has occupied the attention of the Fire Board for some time with the result that the contractor commenced the work on Monday.
