WANGANUI, Poi). 15; The opinion tliat Conmiunists should not be (lebarred from membership -of the New Zealand Keturned Services Association but that niembers whose p.olitical activities are disloyal or subversive or create disruption or dissatisfaction in the economic life of the country, should be debarred, has b.een expressed by the execiitive of the Wanganui Keturned Services Association. The niatter was raised at the guarterly meeting': j.n a lettQi from jSJew Zealand headquarters, seeking the opTnion of the 'b*r;ui('if.;y "Since theu the matter has been.reviewed. by the executive and the following resolution was passed unanimously for submission to lieadquarters: "The executive of the Wanganui K.S.A. is of the opinion that it is not proper to debar a member of tlie Communist or any other political party, as such, but it considers tliat if political or other activities of such menibers prove tliat they are disloyal, then they should be debarred from membership and that for the purposes of the rules of the N-Z.K.S.A., a persoi. be deemed disloyal whose activities are subversive or create disaffection or disruption in the economic life of the conuuunicx . "That the Governincnt be urged to take strong measures against those incmbers of the comnnmity who are responsible for creating both political and civil unrest and are disrupting tlie economic life of the country."
