The Minister said he believed there shonld and •* would be complete unanimity of thought on this l|latteJ•. He intended to call a conference between the IMunicipal Association and (xoyerpment representatives witliin a week or two to formulate an acceptabie procedure on which the standard eodes could be implemented on a uniform national basis. .The Minister could give no indication of Government policy on fn-e-Iight-ing but said the change in the administration recommended by the Ballantyne Pire Commission and the original proposals made by the Municipal Association and other organisations, were receiving^fullest consideration.
