W Another successful sports meeting was slaged by the Shannon Amateur Atnietic and Cycling Club on Tuesday night. Favoured with fine w%ather, a good crowd witnessed the racing and there were keen contests in both the athletic and cyc.ing events. The Shannon inter-house relay was again a feature of the programme, and this week the Albion Hotel team took the honours in the final from the Carpenters' an'd Farmers' teams in the' exciting finish. Once more the Shannon public showed their generosity and interest in the activities of the club, when a collection of £8 0s 4d was taken up.
