WELLINGTON, Eeb. 10. Asked about tlie statement made at a lueetiug of the Wellington central provincial executive meeting of > EederateJ Farmers that there was a rumour thar the freezing industry might be national ised, the Prime Minister (Mr. Fraser, said he had never heard of such a proposal. rThe statement was made by tht chairman of the executive (Mr, F. O. Jurgens), and another speaker expressed the belief that there was a stfong union agitation for nationalisation. . " _ The rumour' has been discounted in union quarters, where it is said that there have been no recent representations for nationalisation, although it has been proposed at industrial labourcotif erences froui ■ time to time in the past.
