Foreign Centres Accused of Giving Assistance
(Per
Reqeived Friday, iv^u a.m. WARSAW, Feb. 10. The plot to kill the President and members of the Polish 'Cabinet, whieh "had been uncovered, was financed with dollars and pounds, and1 was directed by centres abroad, the Minister of Security, Mr. Stanislaw Radkiewicz, told Parlia-* ment today. He said: "We have proofs which will be disclosed in due course that this group was helped by foreign centres." Reuter reealls the offieial disclosures of February 5 that the plot against the Government was "stampedi out" by mass arrqsts among former members of the Polish home army. Mr. Radkiewicz told Parliament that his forces — unofficiaily estimated at 300,000— were strong enough "to deal with the handful of traitors who had. greater lo^alty to Anglo Saxon imperialism than their own country.'' He added that the former Underground Army General, Jan Mazukiewicz, better xnown to underground1 workers by the pseudonym of Radoslaw, was the leader of a small group which planned a personal .attack on the President, N£r, Boleslaw Bierut. Mr. Radkiewicz said that no one would be allowed to disturb the work of reconstructing Poland, "least of all a fictitious Parliament formed' by a handful of emigre politicians." Reuter says that reports reaching Warsaw in the past fortnight indicate that the security police have been unusually active in the countryside, stemming the mountjng wave of unrest following the abolition of rationing on January 1. ___
