The show is to be oflicially opened at 12.30 p.m. tomorrow. To Contest Big Events Ian Mudge, of Waerenga Road, who has some excellent atliletic performances to his eredit this season, will be competing at the inter-provincial championships, to be held in Wellington on Saturday. He is entered in the 880 yards and one mile events, and on performances his prospects look bright. Efforts For Farmers' Queen Recent activities organised by the Farmers' Queen Committee have been well attended, and some enjoyable times have been spent. A card evening and dance at Hautere Cross saw Mesdames Bu>.t and Hazelwood and Messrs. Booth and Strom annex the prizes for card players. Mr. and Mrs. H. Tews supplied the music for dancers and novelties were won by Miss E. Taylor and Mr. F. Snowdon, and Mrs. E. and Mr. R. Taylor. A competition was won by Mrs. Tews. A garden party on Saturday afternoon was very well attended and brisk ■business resulted. A dance held at Manakau in the evening saw Miss L. Corlett and Mr. I. Learmonth, of Levin, Miss B. - Eaton and and Mr. I. Horn win novelty .dances. During the evening the Murray family were heard in pleasing vocal and instrumental numbers:
