The pig section was again over-c-rowded,- the auctioneers selling some lots in lorries. Values at the start maintained last we'ek's levels, bfit as the sare pfdgf'essed r'ealisatiohs dropped tro' a large exfceht. The diitf y df ligiit porker's was nd't hedvy artd c'oiiseqUently values for these were maintained throughout^ selling from £2 5s to £3 10s. Medium to heavy sorts brought from £3 15s to £4 iOs. Baconers .sold on a par with last week, the rbnge of prices beingr: Heavy sorts, £6 td £6 10s'; medium do'., £5 15s to £6' iight do., down to £4 12s 6d. The fat cattle yarding was well represefited and -values for vealers were keen throughout. Fat cows and heifers, however,- slumped 10s to 25s per head, selling from £12 7s 6d to £i3_ i5s for good sorts, with extra heavy cattle making from £14 2s 6d to £15 7s ffd. Vealers realised from £7 2s 6d to- £8 17-s 6d; fof prime heavy, while medium made ffdhi £5 17s 6d to £6 17s 6d, with iight down to £3 12s 6d. Runners and ex-dairy sorts sold on a par with last week.
