Purge Without Mercy in Czechoslovakia
Eeceived Sundav, 7 p.m. PKAGUE, Feb. 6. ■ The Czechoslovak Communist newspaper liude Pravo, said the Czechoslovak. anny had been "purged without niercy " and reactionai'ies eliminated." The forthcoming trials would show the "treacherous danger" created by the existence in the anny before February 1948, of a group of highranking officeis who planned '.'to use tlie arniv against the working people.'' This group had prepared a list of officers to'secure key coniniands and act at the righf nioruent against the National Front. The newspaper said: "We cannot 'pardon anyone who does not honestly serve the working people or who sins against loyalty to our great allv the Soviet Union."
