NEW PLYMOUTH, Feb. 4. Acceptance or rejection of the date suggested by the Manawatu Lawn Tennis Association for the challenge match against Taranaki for the Christie Cup has not yet been deeided on by^ the Taranaki Association, The Manawatu Association has suggested February 19 as a suitable date for the match, but that week will see the Australian tour ing teain playing on the Hawera Club 'a courEs whieh would be the vvenue for the Christie Cup fixture, and 'lP addition' there is a hardcourt tournanrent eisewdiere in the province. It is likely, th.erefore, that the Taranaki Association will suggest sopie ffate after February 26 when Taranaki play Waikaro in an interprovincial. fixture in whieh the Christie Cup will not be at stake.
