A resolution supporting a movement to have a motion cn the Federation 's books objecting to the payment of subsidies from the stabilisation account rescindetl, was passed at an executive meeting of the Manawatu Provinciai Federated Farmers yesterday. The group delegate (Mr.,Lloyd Hammond), recominending that the meeting support- the movement, stated that it did not me.au that the Federation ,was in favour of the payment of subsidies but rather was it felt that its expressed opinion should be a little more flexible. The abolition of all subsidies had been ,foo drastie a step, he said. If the motion were rescindecl future cases coiild then be considefed on their merita.
