De Valera Sees Plebiscite As Solution
LONDON, Jan. 31. The former Prime Minister of Eire, Mr; Eamon Ds Vaiera, speaking at a Birmingham meeting, said: "Tnirteen thousand anned agents of bhe Oxange Gestapo, under the guise of speeiai constables, will safeguai'd Sir Basil Brooke against deieat in the Uister general e.ectien on February 10." I Mr. De Va era, speaking against |the partition, asserted that the best "so-called speeial constables" supplemented the 3000 strong regular po.ice. He said that the 1 just solution of the partition quesition would be a piebiscite all over Hreland, "in. whicli the people could | say how they wished to be gov- j erned."
