Rev. A. and Mrs. Salmond and family have returned to the Manse, Levin, after a holiday at Seatoun, Wellington. The St. Joseph's Convent has 'been notified by the Trinity College of Music that Miss Alison Todd has completed her associate music examination. The death occurred this mornirig of a well-known resident of Levin, Mr. Thomas Bevan, of Mako Mako "Road. He was born at Makara and, came to reside in Levin some "25 years ago. Mr. Bevan is survived by his widow and family of two sons and three daughters. The Bishop of Nelson, the Rt. Rev. P. W. Stephenson, and his wife returned - today by the Wangariella 1 from Sydney. Bisippp" Stephenson has been to Britain and Europe to attend the Lambeth conference and the conference of the World Council of Churches in Amsterdam. He also made a 12-day tour of Germany at the invitation of the Allied Control Commission.
