WELLINGTON, Jan. 28. Although the newspape'rs throughout New Zealand publislied the school certificate examination results on Friday night at the earliest, Wellington pupils have been able to, learn* before that, time whether they passed or failed. Lists have been posted since Thursday by the Education Department at rooui 26 on tlie second floor of Government Buildings. .An officer of the Department explained that this was done for the jarotectioji of .the office by easing tlie flood of telephonq inquiries. Ileads of .Wellington business firiris are annoyed by the f act that students calling at room 26 are handed a booklet setting out the -benefits of a career in the Publie Service. Oiie manager interviewed partieularly resented "this latest endeavour to catch the youn'g enthusiast with art paper propaganda printed at the taxpayers' expense."
