Big Lead For Sports Queen
With a pay-in of £150, the Sports Queen has ffioved from the tail of , the "field" to establish a fairly substantial lead of 3338 votes from jthe Citizens' Queen, last week's [leader. The Texti'es' Queen retains third place, with the Farmers' Queen deposed from second p)ace last week to now occupy fourth position. The Maori Queen is now fifth. Each week sees similar changes and the position continues to arouse considerable inierest. With the final month! in sight, reneWed activity is very evident. The total votes represent over £1068, the- pay in for this week being the handsome sum of £360. FigureS are: Sports, 21,681 (9412); Citizens, 18,343 (14,074); Textiles, 16,411 (11,196) ; Farmers, - 14,669 (11,200) ; Maori, 14,369 (10,805).
