SHOW OPENS TOMORROW
Heavy Enlries Indicate Record Event , - With a, record total of entries to be paraded before the judges, the i Horowhenua Agricultural and Pas'toral Association's 43rd annual snow will4 open in Levin tomorrow morning. With an aggregate of 2370 entries, an increase of 236 on the previous show, which constitutes the higheSt in the association's history, and elaborate arrangements to provide a wealth of interest and entertainment for the public, all indications point to a record fixture. The main features tomorrow will be the judging of stock and home industries, the maiden and open sheep dog trials and equestrian events. Exhibitors in the home industries section are reminded that no exhibits will be received after 9.30 , a.m. tomorrow. The stewards for this section will be in aftendance this afternoon to receive exhibits. Sheep breeders are remin'ded that there will be an exhibition of Border Leicester-South-down rams at the show. These will be exhibited by Mr. W. H. Norwood, of Shannon. An excellent array of trade exhibits will include a display of new cars and a refrigeration unit suitable for farmers. The first day programme " in detail, with the starting times of the main topics of interest, is as follows: — 9 a.m., judging ponies; 9.30 a.m., judging cattle, sheep an'd pigs; 10 a.m., open dog trial; 12 noon, luncheon adjournment; 1 p.m.,. maiden hunters; 1.30 p.m., judging Clydesdaies"; 1.45 p.m., maiden pony; 2.30 p.m.j qualifled hunters; 3 p.m., open pony jump; 3.45 p.m., jumping competition i hunters' style), 4 p.m., pony race ; 4.30 p.m., pony jump.
