Woman Dies From Knife Wounds
BLENHEIM, Jan. 24. The seconcl chef of the Terminus Hotel, Picton, Mrs. Elizabeth Una Thompson, aged 52, formerly of Dunedin, died in the Wairau Ilospital last night from a knife wound. The cireuinstances surrounding the incident in3 the kitchen of the hotel on Saturday, during which it is alleged the wound was received, are now being . iuvestigated by the police. Detailp of ,wh§t" pccurred ai'e so far upknown, but the deeeased was rushed to hospital suffering from a wound in the abdom'en and loss of blood. She was operated on immpdiatply. The deeeased 's huaband. M"r. Albert Thompson, is employed at the hoBj-1 as first chef.
