AUCKLAND, Jan. 21. A reply to Captain Vrankovie 's telegram to the Aeting Prime Minister (Mr. Nash) was reeeived as follows: — ' ' it is regretted that the shipping of illegal ea^go on the Partizanka in breaeh of thq Export Prohibition Emergeney Regulations has rendered it necessary for the Collector of Customs to refrain from issuing a elearance to sail. The eargo already shipped eontains many paekage- of goods whieh are not in aecord with the export permits granted, and until the Collector is satis fied that the shipments comply with the law of New Zealand it is regretted that no further aetion can be taken." The Auckland braneh telephoned the national seeretary of the New Zealand Waterside Workers' Union (Mr: T. Hill) about the Partizanka. The national president (Mr. H. Barnes) arriyed -in Wellington this afternoon after s a holiday in the Wanganui-New Plymouth area, and said he knew very little of the matter. Both officers said the policy about the unloading of the Partizanka had not been diseu&sed.
