Two Charges Against Radio Announcer Fail

MASTERTON, Jan. 20. Two charges that the presentation of a "risks, riddles and rewards" show in Masterton in September last constituted breaches of the Gaming Act, preferred agafinst Thomas Athol Coates, radio announcer, of Auckland, were dismissed by Mr. J. R. Herd, S.M., in a reserved judgment delivered at Masterton today. The magistrate stated that in his view the questions, if they were to be answered successfully by competitors, required skill, powers of observation and special knowledge.
