MRS. HELEN BOND

The death occurred on Monday of Mrs. Helen Bond, of Ihakara, wife of the late Mr. Joseph Bond. She was aged 76. The late Mrs. Bond has resided at Ihakara for 23 years and although of a quiet disposition, was well known and held in the highest esteem in the district. Mrs. Bond was born in Carterton in 1872 and married the late Mr. Bond in 1889. She leaves three sons, Percy (Christchurch), Edward (Mangawhata) and James (Ihakara), and two daughters,.Mrs. F. King (Ohau) and Mrs. T. Burgess (Maharaha, Dannevirke). There are 16 "grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The funeral, which took place at Levin on Tuesday, and was largely attended, was precede'd by a service at the liouse, conducted by Rev. G. B. Stote-Blandy. The pall-bearers were h^r three sons, Mr. N. McKenzie (brother), Mr. T. Burgess (son-in-law) and Mr. R. King (grandson) .
