Junior Tennis Championships

OHELSTCH UKCH, Jan. IS. The lields of 04 in each of the boys' and girls ' singles events in the New Zealand law'n tennis junior championships which are being played at Wildmg Park, were narr-owed down today to eight plavers. Those who came through played excellent tennis in the third round though few were seriously troubled. In the quarter-linals tomorrow the matches will be closer. In the boys ' singles seven seeded players reuiain. The other player is W. Logan who was runner-up to A. N. Bailey in the Canterbury championships. Three seeded players have been eliminated in the girls' event. Thev are J. O'Brien (Wellington), V. Sunderland (Otago) and S. Webster (Wellington).
